The feed rate is programmed in the setting of the CNC model to control the cutting speed of the tool to the workpiece. The tool rotates at high speed with the spindle. And the speeds of cutting forward according to the preset tool path.
The feed rate is mainly determined according to the machining accuracy, surface roughness and the material of the tool and workpiece. The maximum feed rate is limited by the stiffness of the machine tool and the performance of the feed system.
